Requirements for foreign applicants who live in Japan
According to the country, in addition to the completion of 12 years of general school education, any of the following may apply.
- (1) Japanese Language Proficiency Test, Grade 2 or above.
- (2) Japan Foreign Student Examination, Japanese language subject, 200 points or more.
- (3) Studied Japanese language at a Japanese language institute for more than 6 months.
- (4) Attended a school which complies with the Japanese School of Education Law (except preschool) for more than one year.
- (5) BJT Business Japanese Language Proficiency Test, 400 points or more.
How to apply within Japan as a foreign student (Special enrollment by recommendation, enrollment by recommendation, general enrollment)

However, for Tokyo IT & Accounting College Sendai, Tokyo IT & Accounting College Nagoya, and Nagoya Animal College, October 1, 2010, Friday - March 5, 2011, Saturday
*All the courses will be closed upon reaching capacity.
Application Items
- (1) Foreign student enrollment application

(2) "Certification and "Academic Transcript verifying 12 years of education in a foreign country. However, if enrolled in high schools both in Japan and a foreign country, please also submit "dossier of attendance at a high school in Japan.
Submission of other documents, such as a copy of one's passport for an interview, may be requested as needed.
(a copy with an original certification by a Japanese language school is also acceptable.)
- (3) Documents which certify one of the application requirements in (1)-(5).
- (4) School Transcript / Attendance Certificate from the Japanese language school
- (5) Copy of your passport
- (6) Copy of the visa (resident status / expiration date)
- (7) Copy of alien registration certificate
- (8) Document regarding financial support

3cm (h) x 2.5cm (w), front view, upper body, no hats, recent (within 3 months), (legal document type photos).
Write your name and date of birth on the back, securely paste one photograph to the admissions application, and include the remaining three.

*Only ordinary money order certificates (postal or Japan Post Bank (Yucho Ginko) are accepted
*The screening fee is waived for enrollment by special recommendation, and enrollment by recommendation
(How to apply)
Please have your Japanese language school or high school teacher in Japan (school principal for enrollment by special recommendation) fill out the application column for enrollment by recommendation on the backside of the enrollment application form for foreign students.
Application procedures and points to keep in mind
All applications must be sent by postal mail.
Please submit using the application envelope designated by Risshisha, by express simplified registered mail. Moreover, please be aware that the submitted documents and screening fee will not be returned.
Selection method for enrollment by foreign applicants who live in Japan

*The date and time of the Japanese Written Test, Composition Test, and Interview will be directly informed by telephone after the application documents have been received.
Notification of Pass or Fail
Generally, examinees will be notified of passing or failing by postal mail within 5 days of taking the examination. Documents for enrollment procedures such as notification of acceptance, promissory letter, bank transfer form for college expenses, etc., will be sent to successful applicants.

(2) Submission Method
All applications must be sent by postal mail.Please submit using the envelop for enrollment procedures designated by Risshisha, by express simplified registered mail.

Provisional admissions for foreign applicants who live in Japan
Risshisha has established a provisional admissions for the convenience of applicants who are applying to other schools (applies only to graduate school, university, or junior college).
- (1) Application
Applicants for provisional admissions should fill out the necessary items in the probationary application column on the back of enrollment application for foreign students.
Deadline of Application of provisional admissions...February 15, 2011, Tuesday (Documents must to be received by Risshisha.)

(2) Provisional Admissions Procedures
After receiving the acceptance notification, submit the Promissory letter to the admissions clerk, executive office of Risshisha, by the designated date.

(3) Submission of enrollment notification or enrollment refusal notification
For users of the provisional admissions, upon deciding the course or school.(within 5 days of final announcement date of successful applicants, as written on the application column of the provisional admissions at the time of application)Please submit the provisional admissions permit and enrollment notification or enrollment refusal notification to the admissions clerk, executive office of Risshisha.
Final deadline of submission...March 15, 2011, Saturday (Documents must to be received by Risshisha.)

(4) Admissions Procedures
If you decide to enroll in Risshisha, please send the enrollment notification and provisional admission permit to the admissions clerk, executive office of Risshisha. The admissions clerk of the executive office of Risshisha will in turn, send you the enrollment procedure documents. After receiving the enrollment procedure documents, please follow the procedures by designated date.

Regarding Student Dormitory and Apartments
For foreign students scheduled to enroll in Risshisha who are looking for a student dormitory or apartment, we can introduce affiliated dormitories (male/ female) and successful real-estate companies.

- (1) Students desiring to live in a student dormitory or apartment, please mark the dormitory/apartment column.
- (2) After receiving information from Risshisha, please contact the affiliated dormitory company and/or real-estate company directly.
- (3) Please note that rooming listed on the resource material is not always available.

*For tuition sent from overseas, please include 2,500 yen to exchange the money into yen.
*Teaching material fees are included in the practice training fee, but dictionaries and reference books, practice exercises, and examination fees are not included.
*Once school expenses have been paid, and a notification of enrollment refusal is submitted prior to March 31, 2011, such school expenses, including the entire amount for tuitions, the practice training fee, and maintenance fee, excluding admissions fee, will be returned. Moreover, in the event authorization of resident eligibility has not been issued yet, the total amount received for admissions will be returned.
*A return handling fee will be subtracted from the refunded amount.
*When declining admission, the right to tuition exemption as a special scholarship student (or scholarship student) is forfeited.
ex. Please note that in the event a student who has applied for admission fee exemption declines admission, the corresponding amount of the admission fees will not be returned.

- ●What is a Vocational College?
A vocational college in Japan is a high level educational institute targeting high school graduates and above, including university and junior college graduates. At a vocational college, students study with the aim of acquiring practical skills and technical certification required in today's society.
- ●Vocational and Advanced Vocational Degrees
The title "Vocational Degree will be given to those who complete a professional course of more than 2 years at a vocational college and meet certain requirements, and may transfer to the third year of a university. Moreover, an "Advanced Vocational Degree is given to those who complete a 4 year professional course at a vocational college and meet certain requirements in addition to the 4 year course term. As such, it is possible for a person with an advanced diploma to have the same degree of academic ability as a person who graduates from a four year university, and can even go on to graduate school. At Risshisha, all departments and courses with a term of more than two years provide the title of "Vocational Degree, and 3rd year entrance into a university is possible. Moreover, an "Advanced Vocational Degree and certification to enter graduate school shall be given to those who complete the 4 years of the "Advanced Accounting Department (4 years), Accounting 4 year course and "Advanced Accounting Department (4 years) Certified Tax Accountant 4 year course at Tokyo IT Accounting College.
